TYPES OF SERVICE MANDATES:
There are 3 primary type of service mandates in wealth management.
CUSTODIAN MANDATE
ADVISORY MANDATE
DISCRETIONARY MANDATES
CUSTODIAN MANDATE: The customer makes all the financial planning and investment decisions. The service provider only executes and holds custody of deposits and investments.
ADVISORY MANDATE: Service provider provides complete suite of financial planning, investment advisory, and goal setting. However every new transaction is specifically approved by the customer prior to execution.
DISCRETIONARY MANDATE: Service providers carries out the transactions without prior approval of the customers. The customer the financial performance of the portfolio, basis the finanacial goal setting, on a periodic basis.
